Welcome, my name is Meja. In June of 2026 I will be graduating Halmstad University where I over the last three years have studied Digital design and innovation. I am currently seeking new opportunities, where I can apply my skills and passion for UX-design, interaction design and artificial intelligence, to create meaningful and user-centered digital experiences.

The project focused on designing and developing a web platform for discovering and saving furniture items using AI-powered recommendations. My role was primarily as a UX designer, where I worked on creating intuitive interfaces, clear navigation and a smooth user experience. During the project, I gained insight into collaboration with front-end and back-end developers, learning how design decisions are translated into functional code and how teamwork shapes the final product.

Through interviews, observations and data analysis, me and my team identified key challenges related to communication, unclear responsibilities and inefficient digital systems. I was primarily responsible for gathering and analyzing qualitative data, which revealed how fragmented processes and limited collaboration affected everyday work.

This project was developed during my third year at Halmstad University as part of the course Ethics in Design. It emerged from a growing concern about the increasing trust placed in AI tools within higher education, often without sufficient reflection on how these systems affect different student groups. I have focused on students with autism and similar challenges and used speculative design, design fiction along with thorough design principles and guidelines to steer the process and create an accessible and inclusive design.

This project explores how AI can transform user-generated study material into personalized, adaptive quizzes using NLP, OCR, and ASR. I designed transparent, user-controlled AI flows and prototypes focused on accessibility and user agency. My main focus was to investigate how AI can enhance UX, inclusivity, accessibility, and UI design through strong design principles.

This project explored the eating habits, dietary strategies and nutritional needs of elite athletes - a highly specialized and unique user group. I conducted surveys, interviews, and research to uncover patterns, challenges and surprising insights about how their routines, goals and pressures shape everyday decisions. The findings were then translated into actionable insights to inspire future UX design solutions tailored to this specific audience.
